    • Although Clarke is a relatively common name, it is too much of a coincidence that a Clarke should have married a Hannah Howes in the right area at the right time. Almost certainly these were the parents of James Clarke Howes 1805.

      Hmmm. Maybe not so. James Clarke's second marriage shows father as James Clarke. Just possible that James Clarke died and his brother married his widow but for the moment at least, I have detached James Clarke Howes from these parents.

      Possibly too these were the parents of Ann Grace Clarke, bpt 28 4 1823 in Wymondham Abbey, although the abode of the parents was Spitalfields, London
