- Note that James and Charles are living next to Mary and Charles in 1841
SO, there were two people named Charles Howes in Besthorpe born within three years of each other. Could be that James and Mary were married. That seems the most logical explanation, BUT there are others, for example that there were two different households or that Charles 2nd was a step-child of Mary, Charles the elder being a child of James
For the moment we will assume that
- Charles the elder = Charles Henry, was the son of James the Ag Lab and Ann
- Charles the younger was the son of James dec'd by 1841 and Mary, ie, a separate household.
