      MOTOR SMASH IN PERTH
      SKIDDED ON GREASY ROAD,
      FOUR PERSONS INJURED.
      Perth, Oct. 28.
      Four persons were hurt when two.cars collided broadside on at the intersection of Beaufort and Aberdeen streets, Perth, this evening, soon after a shower of rain had made the roads greasy. The following persons were taken to the Perth
      Hospital: Miss Lillian Beckwith (23), injury to hip : Mrs. Lily Beckwith (48), oi North Perth, bruised shoulder; Mrs. Josephine House (45) of South Perth, fractured collarbone ; Stanley Trembath (36), of Bassendean, abrasions to the hands, elbow and thigh.

      Mr and Mrs Beckwith and Trembath were passengers in the back seat of a car driven by Herbert George Varker. The other car was driven by Edgar Stanley House, with his two daughters and son as passengers. According to the police report, Varker, seeing the other car in front of him, applied his brakes
      and tried to swerve to the left. His car, however, skidded on the greasy road, and the two vehicles, met broadside on. The bodywork of both cars was considerably damaged. Besides the four people taken to hospital, Varker suffered slight lacerations, and Shirley House (6) had a tooth knocked out when she was thrown off the back seat of her father's car.
