  Notes	Went to France in WW2 and so Gran went to Woodford where she gave birth to Dorothy. After being invalided out of army after injury in France, he returned to Bristol. Had seven children, the youngest of whom (Robert) died in childhood. Moved back to Woodford Halse in 1927 when offered own managed shop. Worked as Manager of Men's Outfitters and Tailors in Parsons Ro> ad in 'old' Woodford (shop known as A J Walkers later William Edgar's - clothing supplied by Ideal Clothing of Kettering). Kept chickens and rabbits. Had a large vegetable and fruit garden.
