    • Just want to make it clear that we ASSUMED that the same John married both of the Marys named here, without proof yet of the demise of the first Mary (which we now have)

      Look at both 1841 and 1851 censuses. Despite the twenty year difference in ages for John and Mary, it looks like the same family. We are sure, given the names and ages of the children, that Mary Foulsham was their mother, but that could not be the Mary in the census records. Ergo, there were two Marys.
